Class Lineup

 

Pesticide License Prep Class

 

What: If you use herbicides, fungicides or insecticides as part of your business, you MUST hold a Mass Pesticide License. With fines ranging upwards of $25,000 and increased legal action (like imprisonment) by the Massachusetts Department of Agruculture, you want to make sure you are compliant. 

When: January 31, Feb 1 & Feb 2

Staying Alive; Plant Care with Tom Brady

 

What: Save your crews valuable time and money be ensuring a successful planting done right the first time. Tom Brady, tree warden for the town of Brookline, MA will cover best practices for successful plantings, ideal plant selection for various locations, identifying plant health issues and how to rectify them.

When: February 15th

Landscape Lighting Forum

 

What: Now is the ideal time to add lighting services as a new profit center for your business! With significant homeowner interest in LED lighting and advances in technology, Northeast Nursery is excited to partner with you to grow your business. This event will give beginners and veterans alike a solid run through of the sales process, LED Technology, installation & maintenance tips, marketing opportunities and more.

Certified Irrigation Technician Training Exam

 

What: Obtain the skills and knowledge to install, repair and maintain irrigation systems. Skills covered include pipe cutting and joining, various system capabilities/limitations, backflow prevention, electrical controls and more. This certification will add instant credibility with customers, expose you to more job opportunities and demonstrate your commitment to efficient water management. 

When: March 2 & March 3rd

Cost: IANE members, $255. Nonmembers – $295

Irrigation Troubleshooting

 

What: In both basic and advanced training sessions, you’ll learn the basics of irrigation troubleshooting, common scenarios and diagnostic equipment. More advanced topics include complex hydraulic problems, wire systems, flow sensors and more. All topics will be discussed generically so that you may apply what you learn to all products and systems on the market.

When: March 6th. Basic session – 8am-12pm. Advanced session – 1pm-4:30pm.

Cost: $50 per session.

MA Hoisting License Prep Classes

What: Learn MASS General laws 146 and CRM 520 6.00 as they pertain to hoisting machinery, in addition to dig safe operations. Class is designed to improve your ability to pass the license exam, snacks and lunch included.

When: 2 options: March 2nd or April 6th.

Cost: $185 per person
