Topiaries are plants that have been trimmed and manipulated to grow in different shapes and forms. Although many plants can be trained to become topiaries, Junipers and Dwarf Alberta Spruce seem to work out the best because they don’t produce new growth off the older wood, as fast. Because these plants have been pruned to form different shapes they do require you to continue to maintain them so they won’t revert back to their natural habit. Many plants used as topiaries will successfully live in containers. This is a great way to add a different element too the container garden. Click here to see the endless possibilities.
