Successful Transplanting

What part of the season to dig? | How to dig the shrub or tree out? | How much water when and where to apply? | Products that can aid in recovery | Tools to ease the process | What kind of soil should to use to plant?

What part of the season to dig?

The ideal months to transplant are in:

  • Spring
  • Fall

How do you dig out the desired plant?

The process is simple, prior to transplanting:

  • Take 2 weeks before to water the desired plant
  • Make sure the plant is well hydrated and healthy
How much water when and where to apply?
  • Water regularly, just as a newly planted shrubs or tree
  • You can use Soil Moist it helps retain moisture to the needy roots of the plant

What tools can you use to ease the transplanting process?

The main tools you will need are:

  • Wheelbarrow
  • Spade Shovel
  • Watering device, i.e. hose or watering can
  • BURLAP PAC, the original packaged burlap, is a medium-weave, 7 oz. burlap for gardening or any other odd jobs around the house.  BURLAP PAC is especially useful for winter protection of valuable evergreen shrubs and bushes.
