Watering is so crucial for maintaining plant health. Water is best applied to the soil and not hitting the foliage to prevent foliage discoloration or diseases. Over watering can contribute to stress or death as much as under watering. Watering plants early morning or late afternoon is best and when applying the water a slow trickle rather than a forceful pressure will allow for more soil absorption.
